We recently has the user send us email asking how to make mod_rewrite for leech links which using engine/go.php, the user want to have new rewrite url from:
To be like this
So I will give quick tutorial for this mod_rewrite rules in case some of you would like to use it in your site.
Based on the rewrite rule, it should be easily done by follow the steps below:
Open your root .htaccess file (yoursite.com/.htaccess)
RewriteRule ^page/(.*)$ index.php?cstart=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^url/(.*)$ engine/go.php?url=$1 [L]
$url['html'] = $config['http_home_url'] . "engine/go.php?url=" . rawurlencode( base64_encode( $url['html'] ) );
$url['html'] = $config['http_home_url'] . "url/" . rawurlencode( base64_encode( $url['html'] ) );
Now when you add the site url using leech tag bbcode, you will get the url like this:
Please note that, the change may not affect the leech url which already posted before this change, to get all previous posts with leech to use this mod_rewrite, please use rebuild your articles within admin CP.
Note 2: this rewrite may not work correctly if you use Dude Smart Leech, however, I haven't test it myself, if you test it, then let us know if it works...thanks
If you ever need quick tutorials like this, please don't use email or PM to contact us, use forum instead so some one else can learn the tutorials...
Thank you and enjoy quick and short tutorial...
